Entry requirements

In order to be admitted to our courses and programmes you must meet the entry requirements. Entry requirements for our programmes can be found under the pages Bachelor's programmes (Swedish) and Master's programmes. Special eligibility requirements for different courses can be found on the page Entry Requirements.

Submit your application!

You should apply for the courses or programmes you are interested in via universityadmission.se. Generally, application for autumn semester closes 15 April and for spring semester 15 October.

For courses and programmes given in Swedish (such as bachelor's programmes), consult the Swedish homepage.

Do not forget to reply to any offer of admission!


Programme students

Even students that are enrolled on a study programme apply for the courses they are interested in taking through universityadmissions.se, with the following exceptions:

  • courses that cannot be applied for online
  • students that start the first semester of a programme

Exchange students

If you are studying at Stockholm University as an exchange student you no not need to apply via universityadmissions.se - if you have questions, contact your exchange coordinator.

Students taking free standing courses

Students that take free standing courses always apply through universityadmisions.se. The only exceptions are courses that cannot be applied online.

Teacher education students

Students that are enrolled on a teacher education programme don't always have to apply through universityadmissions.se. If you have questions, contact the study counsellor for teacher education in mathematics.

Students in ULV- and VAL-projects should not apply through universityadmissions.se.
